I Stand Corrected

Apologies to all who couldn’t access Carrying On yesterday. Apparently the launch of our site crashed the WordPress (our blogging software) servers.  Tony has “taken care of it,” if you know what I mean.

As you know, our mission is to deliver strong opinions that will incite dialogues, or even debates. But when we get our facts wrong it is important for us to own up to our mistakes. Therefore, it is with great humility and regret that I have to inform you that, even in Carrying On’s infancy I already misspoke in an earlier post. My error was revealed by several astute readers who are scarily in tune with pop culture. Within minutes of the posting, they quickly informed me that the quote from the Jersey Shore is not “Gym, Training, and Laundry.”

How in tune are you with this phenomenon (did you hear JWOWW got more paparazzi attention than Kim Kardashian at a recent Fashion Week event)? Here is the test, see if you can fill in the blank with the correct answer. “Gym, _________, and Laundry”. Once you register your vote, you’ll see what percent of your peers agree with you. I’m beginning to think we are a much hipper crew than I ever imagined.

We’ll reveal the true answer in a future posting. We’ll also be using this survey functionality a bunch, and we may even throw in some questions about travel.

I vote Cannoli. I have no idea what Jersey Shore is or what this means, but I don’t care — Cannoli is the only choice that I’d eat…
